Professor Michael Beer has been appointed to lead the ASCE IRD Risk And Resilience Measurements Committee (RRMC) together with Dr. Hiba Baroud from Vanderbilt University. Within the Infrastructure Resilience Division of the American Society of Civil Engineers, RRMC - with its 138 members - is advising academia, industry and administration on developments to use risk analysis in the civil infrastructure and lifeline systems resilience context and to build overarching risk-based lifeline resilience standards.
